EPAL CP1 Pallets Manufacturer in Bengaluru Rural, Karnataka

Sri Geetha Timbers manufactures EPAL CP1 pallets — skid-based chemical industry pallets built to the internationally recognised EPAL/CP standard, designed for safe, compliant handling of boxes, sacks, and intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) commonly used to transport liquid chemicals. As one of nine standardised CP pallet types developed for the European chemical industry and now widely adopted across other industrial sectors, CP1 pallets bring dimensional consistency and traceability to chemical supply chains. Manufactured in Nelamangala, Bengaluru Rural, we supply EPAL CP1 pallets to chemical, industrial, and export businesses across Karnataka and pan-India.

What Are EPAL CP1 Pallets?

CP1 is one of nine standardized sizes within the CEFIC/EFTCO and EPAL Chemical Pallet (CP) system, measuring 1000mm x 1200mm x 138mm. Unlike some other CP formats, CP1 pallets are built with a skid-based, open lower deck design rather than a full block or frame structure — a construction shared by CP1 through CP5, which together are used by the majority of chemical companies for their supply chains. This open-deck skid design makes CP1 pallets especially well suited to intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) used for transporting liquid chemicals, as well as general boxes and sacks.

Because CP1 is part of a recognized, EPAL-registered pallet pool system, the pallet’s cost can be included in the price of goods shipped, and recipients can either reuse the pallet or return it through a CP-registered manufacturer for reconditioning — reducing the need for businesses to permanently manage their own dedicated pallet stock.

Why EPAL CP1 Pallets Matter for Chemical Logistics

The chemical industry is particularly sensitive to handling and transport risk, which is exactly why standardized, quality-assured pallets like CP1 exist:

  • EPAL-registered construction standards — built to strict specifications covering board thickness, nail placement, and material restrictions (poplar wood, for example, is not permitted for stringers)
  • Skid-based open deck — well suited to IBCs and containers carrying liquid chemicals, reducing handling complexity
  • Traceability markings — CP pallet number, manufacturer code, and month/year of production stamped directly onto the pallet
  • ISPM15/IPPC heat treatment available, required for international shipment of chemical goods
  • Part of a recognized exchange/deposit pool, simplifying logistics for businesses trading with other CP-registered suppliers
Materials & Construction Standards

Our EPAL CP1 pallets are built from quality, seasoned timber, constructed to meet the strict EPAL CP construction requirements — deck and bottom boards between 18–20mm thick, stringers up to 22–24mm, with no wanes (rough, bark-covered edges) permitted on stringers, and poplar wood excluded from stringer construction. Nails are positioned with the greatest possible spacing between them and at least 20mm from component edges, per the EPAL construction standard. On request, pallets are heat-treated and fumigated to ISPM15/IPPC standards — required for the unrestricted international movement of goods — with manufacturer marking applied for full export documentation.

Applications & Industries We Serve

EPAL CP1 pallets from Sri Geetha Timbers are widely used across:

  • Chemical & petrochemical industries — particularly for IBCs transporting liquid chemicals
  • Pharmaceutical & healthcare logistics — where traceable, quality-assured pallets matter for regulated supply chains
  • General industrial goods packaged in boxes or sacks
  • Export & international logistics — where EPAL/CP-standard sizing and compliance matter for customs and trading partner requirements
  • Automated warehousing — standardized dimensions compatible with racking and material handling systems
EPAL CP1 vs Other CP Pallet Sizes

CP1’s skid-based, open-deck design makes it a good fit for boxes, sacks, and liquid-chemical IBCs specifically. If your cargo is heavier drums or bulk bags instead, see our CP4 Pallets for higher load capacity, or our CP2 Pallets for general hazardous and non-hazardous shipping. For frame or windowed CP construction offering greater stability, check our CP6, CP7, and CP8 pallet pages. Contact us with your container type and cargo details, and we’ll recommend the right CP size.

Why Choose Sri Geetha Timbers for EPAL CP1 Pallets?

Manufactured at our Nelamangala, Bengaluru Rural facility, our EPAL CP1 pallets are built to precise CP-standard dimensional tolerances and construction requirements, quality-checked before dispatch, and priced competitively for bulk industrial and export orders. For chemical industry buyers, pallet compliance isn’t a formality — it directly affects safety, customs clearance, and trading partner acceptance, which is why we build to the documented EPAL CP construction standard rather than a generic approximation.
